Orange County Convention Center provides Holiday Cheer to the Russell Home in Orlando

December 23, 2010: the management & staff of the Orange County Convention Center donated presents, gift cards and over $1,600.00 in cash to the Russell Home today. Mr. John Terwilliger, Director of Administrative Support with Orange County said “I cannot express how proud I am of the staff for raising this amount of money in such a short period of time and under the current difficult economic circumstances we live in”. The convention center accomplished this amazing display of generosity by running a donation drive for just two and one-half days this past week. Mr. Terwilliger and his associate, Mr. Benj Hurt delivered the gifts and money to Mrs. Janet Russell Nixon today and she was overwhelmed with the incredible generosity of the Convention Center personnel. Mrs. Nixon commented; “Your generosity will help provide a more joyous Christmas and will also help with the day to day operation of the home”.
