Apr. 23 – 26 – International Sign Association (17,000 attendees)
The enormous popularity of ISA International Sign Expo mirrors the growth the sign industry itself has experienced over the last 60 years. The advent of digital print imaging for use in visual communications has largely contributed to the expansion. In addition to digital print imaging, dynamic digital signage has taken a prominent place among today’s signage solutions. Advancements and innovations in digital technology will continue to energize the marketplace.
 
As a result, ISA International Sign Expo is the best place to get up to speed on important industry issues and trends and the best venue to conduct business. Learning opportunities abound at the show, with expert-led sign industry specific educational programs focusing on topics such as graphic design, sign code legislation, business management, sales and marketing, technology and more. ISA International Sign Expo is the only event that brings together all markets in the signage industry.

May 4 – 8 – ARVO Annual Meeting (11,000 attendees)
ARVO is the largest and most respected eye and vision research organization in the world. Our members include more than 12,750 researchers from over 80 countries. ARVO encourages and assists research, training, publication and knowledge-sharing in vision and ophthalmology. This event is not open to the public.
 
May 10 – Orange County’s Top Talent Show (1,000 attendees)
Orange County’s Top Talent is a county-wide talent show with acts featuring singing, dancing, comedy, instrumentals, drama, and novelty performances.
 
Eighteen finalists will be selected through a live audition event at Edgewater High School March 8, 2014. Finalists will perform May 10, 2014 at the Linda Chapin Theatre in the Orange County Convention Center.
 
A percentage of the net proceeds go back to the schools through teacher grants to support visual and performing arts including instruments, art materials, equipment, sheet music and more.
 
May 12 – 15 – Governor’s Hurricane Conference (3,000 attendees)
Join emergency managers and personnel, first responders, state, federal, volunteer agency, business and industry representatives along with health and medical professionals from around the state, nation and world as they come together during the week’s scheduled training sessions, workshops and panel discussions to train and learn from each other. This event is not open to the public.

May 28 – 30 – ACSM Annual Meeting 2014 (6,400 attendees)
