CFHLA Adopt-A-School Program
One of the most important District volunteer efforts (and one that we are very proud to participate in each year) is our involvement in The Central Florida Hospitality and Lodging Association (CFHLA) Adopt-A-School program. This important program began in 2002 with the mission to identify, develop and promote positive community partnerships between every public school in Central Florida and CFHLA Membership.
Working with our school, Pine Hills Elementary, the District has provided box lunches for teachers during Parent Conferences Day; donated premium goodie bags for Principals Conference and Teach In Program. This past Christmas, the District provided dozens of holiday toys to be given to the children in the school. The toys where donated through our District partner, Festival Bay Mall. We also provided incentive prizes for students during FCAT 2006.
The District has worked with its partners to donate dozens of items to the school…supplies, equipment and services. Thanks to their generosity and donations of time, we have been able to make an impact in this very important area.
